BUTLER COUNTY PUBLIC BUILDING COMMISSION MEETING

CALL TO ORDER
Commission Chairman Mike Wheeler called the Butler County Board of Commissioners to order at 10:08 a.m. Present were Commissioner Will Carpenter, Commissioner Randy Doll, Commissioner Randy Waldorf, Administrator Will Johnson Jr., and Clerk Recorder Tammy Bridges. Commissioner Dan Woydziak was absent.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner Waldorf motioned to approve the minutes of the Butler County Public Building Commission Meeting of Monday, April 11, 2005 as written. Commissioner Doll seconded the motion. Motion carried 4-0.
ITEM #1 – DISCUSSION ON EAST ANNEX TO THE BUTLER COUNTY COURTHOUSE BIDS WITH PKHL AND CONSIDER APPROVAL OF BIDS
Administrator Johnson came before the Board with changes to the budget for the remodel of the East Annex project.
Commissioner Carpenter motioned to approve the base bid in the amount of $2,803,000 minus bid reductions in the amount of $109,359 and add alternatives of $16,200 with Compton Construction Company. Commissioner Doll seconded the motion. Motion
Vince Haines, PKHL, stated that he would be sending a Letter of Intent to Compton Construction Company and expects a pre-construction meeting later this week or next week.
Commissioner Carpenter volunteered to represent the Commission Board to oversee the change orders and inspection process during the East Annex remodeling project.
ITEM #2 – CONSIDER APPROVAL OF 9-1-1 CONSOLE FURNITURE BIDS
Chris Davis, 9-1-1 Director, came before the Board for approval of the 9-1-1 console furniture bids.
Commissioner Waldorf motioned to approve the bid from XYBIX Systems Inc. for 6 console positions in the amount of $77,792 to be funded through the East Annex Remodeling budget, and authorize the Director of Emergency Communications to return with a contract for the same at a later date. Commissioner Doll seconded the motion. Motion carried 4-0.
OTHER ITEMS OF BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD
Commissioner Waldorf motioned to adjourn the meeting of the Board at 10:30 a.m. Commissioner Doll seconded the motion. Motion carried 4-0.
