BUTLER COUNTY PUBLIC BUILDING COMMISSION MEETING

CALL TO ORDER

Commission Chairman Mike Wheeler called the Butler County Board of Commissioners to order at 11:20 a.m. Present were Commissioner Will Carpenter, Commissioner Randy Doll, Commissioner Randy Waldorf, Commissioner Dan Woydziak, Administrator Will Johnson Jr., and Clerk Ron Roberts.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Commissioner Doll motioned to approve the minutes of the Butler County Public Building Commission Meeting of Monday, August 30, 2005 as written. Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. Commissioners Waldorf and Woydziak abstained, they were not on the commission at that meeting.

 

ITEM #1 RECEIVE FINANCIAL STATUS REPORT AS OF FEBRUARY 14, 2005

Will Johnson, Administrator, came before the Board to present the financial status report.

 

ITEM #2 REORGANIZATION OF BUTLER COUNTY PUBLIC BUILDING COMMISSION -- CONSIDER SELECTION OF A CHAIRMAN AND VICE-CHAIRMAN FOR THE ENSUING YEAR

Commissioner Waldorf motioned to appoint Commissioner Wheeler as Chairman and Commissioner Doll as Vice-Chairman. Commissioner Woydziak seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

 

ITEM #3 CONSIDER RESOLUTION 05-12 DECLARING IT NECESSARY AND ADVISABLE TO ISSUE REVENUE BONDS OF THE BUTLER COUNTY PUBLIC BUILDING COMMISSION

Will Johnson, Administrator, came before the Board for approval of Resolution No. 05-12, a resolution declaring it necessary and advisable to issue revenue bonds of the Butler County Public Building Commission in an amount not to exceed $2,900,000 to provide funds for the purpose of constructing and equipping certain improvements to the Butler County Courthouse and to the East Annex of the Butler County Courthouse; and providing for the giving of notice of the intention of the Butler County Public Building commission to issue said bonds. As required by statute the county is required to state by resolution its intention to finance the debt through the issuance of revenue bonds and to publish such resolution 30 days prior to the issuance of the bond.

 

Commissioner Doll motioned to adopt Resolution No. 05-12, a resolution declaring it necessary and advisable to issue revenue bonds of the Butler County Public Building Commission in an amount not to exceed $2,900,000 to provide funds for the purpose of constructing and equipping certain improvements to the Butler County Courthouse and to the East Annex of the Butler County Courthouse; and providing for the giving of notice of the intention of the Butler County Public Building Commission to issue said bonds. Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

Commissioner Carpenter motioned to adjourn the meeting of the Board at 11:28 a.m. Commissioner Doll seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.
